Ad formats: focus on video ads, image ads are not recommended
MAKE TIKTOKs, not ads!
The first rule of the TikTok Club: make TikToks! Ask your influencers to create videos that are tailored to TikTok. Make use of the natural environment, filters and overlays.
Many clients also asked us about the music: TikTok provides a large library of licensed music that we can use when uploading your videos to the campaign. But of course it is recommended to have your own style, your own music.
App Name or Brand Name:
- For app names, we support 4-40 characters (latin) and 2-20 (asian characters).
- For brand names, we support 2-20 characters (latin) and 1-10 (asian characters).
- Emojis cannot appear in the app name or brand name.
- For descriptions, we support 12-100 characters (latin) and 6-50 (asian characters).
Video:
- File Type .mp4, .mov, .mpeg, .3gp, or .gif
- We suggest a resolution ≥720*1280px, ≥640*640px, or ≥1280*720px.
- Duration: 5-60s allowed. We suggest short videos of 9-15s.
- ≤500 MB
- Length: recommended max 15 seconds.
Best practices:
- Always create TikToks, not ads. Music, movement, and entertainment are fundamental.
- Try to make use of the natural features of TikTok.
- Include short and specific copies that go with the videos.
- The message has to be totally clear.
- The video text should not overlay the ad copy or the CTA.
- Always use a CTA that makes sense.
- And of course, make sure you entertain users with your ads but never bore them with very longs ads. Short and concise.
