Frequently Asked Questions

How much do TikTok ads cost in 2023?

TikTok uses a cost per mile (CPM) metric to charge for ads. This roughly translates into the advertiser paying 10 dollars or 9 pounds for every 1,000 views. If you want to start an advertising campaign, that will cost a minimum budget of 500 dollars or 410 pounds. If you are going to start a branded hashtag challenge and want it to be featured on Tiktok’s Discovery banner, then you may have to pay up to 150,000 dollars or 123,000 pounds. Overall, ads cost from 50,000 to 120,000 dollars or 410 pounds to 123,000 pounds.

Even though CPMs on TikTok aren’t as low as they used to be, due to the increasing popularity of the platform, we are still seeing consistently lower traffic costs for our clients. TikTok ads had significantly cheaper CPMs than Facebook and Google across all our campaigns globally in the last three months. That’s less than half the traffic cost of Google and three times less than Facebook’s traffic.

For our mobile marketing campaigns at Admiral Media, the average CPM on TikTok in 2023 is around 2 euros (whereas Google’s CPM is around 4 euros and Facebook’s CPMs are 6 euros or higher).
