Short answer
Yes. Snapchat Single Image or Video ads are full-screen 9:16 videos that appear between Stories, publisher and creator content, and on Spotlight. Add an App Install, Deep Link or Website attachment so viewers can act straight away.
Video specs
- 1080 x 1920 px, 9:16 aspect ratio.
- .mp4 or .mov, H.264 encoded, 1 GB or less.
- At least 3 seconds. Shorter videos are looped to reach 3 seconds.
- Brand name up to 32 characters and headline up to 34 characters.
- Snapchat recommends keeping videos to 3 to 5 seconds.
Other video formats
- Story Ads: 1 to 10 videos behind a branded tile in the Discover feed.
- Collection Ads: a video with product thumbnails.
- Commercials: non-skippable ads inside curated content. Standard Commercials run 3 to 6 seconds. Extended Play runs 7 to 180 seconds, and only the first 6 seconds cannot be skipped. They support only Web View and AR Lens attachments.
In practice
For installs, use Single Image or Video or Story Ads with an App Install attachment, since Commercials do not support it. Cut several short vertical versions of each idea and show the app or gameplay in the first second. Test them side by side and keep the ones that deliver retained users.
