Real answers where AI assistants recommend us first
These are four real answers to the kind of questions a buyer asks when choosing an agency. In each one, Admiral Media is the first agency named. On the buyer questions that don't name us, we show up in about 3 in 10 answers, more than any other agency we track.

Which agencies help subscription apps measure paid media incrementality?Admiral Media, listed first in the table: Paid UA, creative, subscription app growth. Publishes mobile app incrementality frameworks using holdouts, geo tests, and lift studies.

How an AI answer turns into a lead
- Step 1
A buyer asks an AI assistant which agency to hire.
- Step 2
The assistant reads websites like ours to build its answer.
- Step 3
It names Admiral Media and links to our site.
- Step 4
The buyer visits. Visitors from ChatGPT are 4.6x more likely to contact us than our average visitor.

Do AI assistants recommend your app?
Buyers now ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI which app to pick. Leave your details and we will set up a meeting to walk you through how we would run this for your app.

Google sends fewer clicks. AI assistants send more visitors.
Since March, Google showed our site 39% less often and sent us 24% fewer clicks. We were not penalised. Most of the drop in clicks came right after a busy March. Google is simply answering more questions itself. In two months, the share of our Google views that came from AI answers doubled. Buyers did not go away. They started reading the AI answer instead of the list of links.
Views fell 39%, but clicks fell only 24%
March 2026 = 100. A view is each time Google showed our site.
So each time Google showed us, we were more likely to get a click. Clicks were already down to 73 in April and were back up to 76 by August.

Four fixes that help AI assistants understand and recommend us, and how we track the results
We made these changes at the same time. Most of them happen behind the scenes, and AI tools now get a much clearer picture of who we are.
We told AI tools exactly who we are
AI tools were guessing what we do. Now one page, written just for them, spells out our services and where we work.
We made our results easy for AI to read
Our case study cards only appeared once the page finished loading, so AI tools that skip that step saw none of them. Now every result is there right away.
We fixed the hidden labels on our pages
Every page has hidden labels that tell search engines what it is about. Ours were contradicting each other, so we cleaned them up.
We wrote pages around real buyer questions
We rewrote titles and headings to match what people actually ask AI tools.
We track every day which agencies AI recommends
Every day we ask six AI tools the same buyer questions, spread across the US, the UK and Germany, and see which agencies they name.
What an AI tool saw on our case studies page
The same page, before and after we fixed it.
AI assistants name us more often than any other agency we track
Over the last 30 days, we were named more often than any other agency we track. August was also our best month yet for visits from AI.
Visits from AI assistants, month by month
August = 100. AI assistants sent 1.4% of our visits in March and 5.1% in August. The numbers move around from month to month. Visits did dip in June and July.

From Peec AI, last 30 days, taken 7 September 2026. Admiral Media is #1 of the 15 agencies we track; the table shows the top 7. Named in: how often an agency shows up at all, across all 20 questions, one of which names Admiral. Share of answer: of all the times the tracked agencies get named, the share that goes to this one. Average place: where it lands in the list, so lower is better. Tone score: how kindly the answers talk about this agency, from 0 to 100. Ours is 60, in the middle of the pack.
Visitors from ChatGPT turn into leads more than twice as often as visitors from Google
By the time someone clicks through from ChatGPT, they have already asked their questions and compared their options. They arrive knowing what they want, so far more of them get in touch.
How to read the table
Each example comes from the ChatGPT row, shaded in the table.

What this does not prove yet: these are leads on our own website, where a lead is one contact form. We have not yet measured the same effect on direct App Store visits and installs. That is what we are measuring next.
Better leads, not more traffic

Visitors from ChatGPT contact us 4.6 times as often as our average visitor. Book a meeting to see how that could work for your app.

We made our own site easy for AI to read, then measured what happened. Visitors from ChatGPT now contact us 4.6 times as often as our average visitor. It is the same programme we now offer to app clients.
Common questions about AEO
What is answer engine optimization?
Answer engine optimization, or AEO, means getting your brand named and recommended inside AI answers, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews. It is also called generative engine optimization, or GEO. You measure it by how often your brand shows up when people ask these tools for advice, and by the visits and leads those answers send.
Does traffic from ChatGPT actually convert?
For us, yes. Between 1 March and 5 September 2026, ChatGPT sent 2.7% of our visits and 12.4% of our leads. That makes a visitor from ChatGPT 4.6 times as likely to contact us as our average visitor. Claude, Gemini and Perplexity together sent 1.3% of our visits and 0.5% of our leads. The number of leads behind the ChatGPT figure is small, so we publish it as a share and not as a forecast.
Why did Google impressions fall 39% while clicks fell 24%?
Compared with March 2026, Google showed our site 39% less often by August, and our clicks fell 24%. With March set to 100, views ended at 61 and clicks at 76. Clicks were already at 73 in April, so most of that drop came right after a busy March. Google now answers more questions itself. The share of our Google views that came from AI answers rose from 5.0% in June to 10.6% in August. People read the AI answer instead of clicking through.
Do AI Overview impressions add to total Google impressions?
No. Google counts AI answer views inside its normal search total, not on top of it. Adding them to the total would count them twice. If a report shows AI views above 100% of the total, that is what happened.
How does Admiral Media measure AI visibility?
We use three tools. Google Search Console shows how often our pages appear in Google's AI answers, reported for our site since 18 May 2026. Google Analytics groups visits from AI assistants into their own channel. And Peec AI asks the same buyer questions every day and records which brands the answers name.
Can Admiral Media run this for my brand?
Yes. It is the same answer engine optimization programme we run for ourselves. We ask the questions your buyers ask. We check where AI names you and where it does not. Then we show you what the brands it recommends have in common. We take on three new brands a quarter, and only one brand per category.
Who ran this
Find out where your app shows up in AI answers.
In a pilot, we run these same reports on your app and your buyers' questions. We show you where AI names you and where it does not. Then we show you what the brands it recommends have in common. It is the answer engine optimization programme we run for ourselves.
Tell us about your app and your category. We will walk you through how we would run this for you.
